ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's volleyball team was unable to overcome the nationally-ranked Calvin University Knights in an MIAA contest on Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Knights led the entirety of the first set, owning a double digit lead for a majority of the stanza. Adrian was able to piece together a three-point run mid-way through, kicked off by a Calvin ball handling error. Megan Prsa posted the other two points on a service ace and a kill.
Set two was less competitive, but again the Bulldogs posted a three-point run, this time to bring the set within 10 (16-6) Alex Tobler began it with a kill, followed up by Grace Welch with two kills of her own.
The final set was opened by a four-point run by the Knights, which was stopped by a Madison Federmeyer kill, which was met with a kill by Senior Korbyn Koerner.
TOP DOGS
- Korbyn Koerner led the Bulldogs on offensive with seven kills, followed by Alex Tobler with four.
- Leading on the net was Katelyn Bergman with the team's only block solo and the pairing of Madison Federmeyer and Grace Welch with a block assist a piece.
- Federmeyer and Megan Prsa had the team's only service aces.
UP NEXT
The Bulldogs return to the road on Oct. 30 as they travel to Hope for a 6:30 p.m. matchup on Wednesday.
