Women’s Volleyball Picked to Finish Seventh in Preseason Poll

FREELAND, Mich. – The Adrian College women's volleyball team was predicted to finish in seventh in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) coaches' poll released Thursday (Aug. 23)

Calvin was predicted to repeat as champs, picking up 64 points and eight first-place votes. Hope secured the remaining first-place vote and totaled 57 points, followed by Albion (45), Saint Mary's (40), Trine (36), Alma (30) and Adrian (29). The Bulldogs finished ahead of Kalamazoo (15) and Olivet (8). Eight points were given for a first-place vote, seven for a second-place vote, etc. Coaches were not allowed to vote on their own school.

Adrian opens the season with a home exhibition match against Siena Heights on Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. before traveling to Columbus, Ohio for the Capital/Otterbein Classic on Sep. 1.
