ADRIAN, Mich. – The women's tennis team ventured indoors on Thursday and picked up an 8-1 win over Concordia (Mich.) University. The Bulldogs are now 8-5 overall this season while the Cardinals dip to 0-7.
The doubles portion belonged to the Bulldogs as they won all three matchups. Arielle Williams and Renae Adams Almasy defeated Hope Keating and Rachel Niermann at one doubles by the score of 8-4. The other two matches ended 8-2 as Kylee Bezeau and Morgan Spencer won at two doubles. Justine Hanson and Victoria Watson claimed their win at three doubles over Monica Lee and Mackenzie Devine.
The singles lineup proved to be little resistance for the Bulldogs as they won five of the six matches in straight sets. In addition, the Cardinals managed to win just one game in the last four singles matches. Bezeau, Hanson and McKenzie Krieg each had a 6-0, 6-0 win.
