Bulldogs Defeat Olivet, 5-4, in Women's Tennis

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The women's tennis team went to a neutral site in Battle Creek on Sunday and left with their second MIAA win of the season with a 5-4 decision over Olivet College.

The Comets got wins at one and two doubles giving up just two games in the two matchups. The Bulldogs did get a point at three doubles as Sarah Brooks and Jordenne Ferenczi defeated Jenna Baker and Jordy Bergeron, 8-2, to put them down 2-1 after doubles.

In singles play, Adrian won three through six singles matchups to claim the victory. The highlight was a three-set six singles match between Ferenczi and Baker. Ferenczi dropped the first set, 6-4, but then rallied for a 6-2, 6-4 advantage.

Brooks had a 6-1, 6-4 win over Paige Sedgewick at five singles. Sarah Kean captured a 6-2, 6-4 win at four singles over Rachael Horn. Shannon Woods won 6-2, 6-2 at three singles against Kelsey Singer.
