Women’s Tennis Win First Home Match in Convincing Fashion 8-1
ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College women's tennis team won their opening home match of the season defeatin Heidelberg in convincing fashion 8-1. The Bulldogs are now 2-5 on the season.

The Bulldogs swept the doubles matches as Sarah Kean and Katelyn Simcina won in the number one pairings 8-5. Sarah Sokolowski and Shannon Woods won by a score of 8-3 in the second doubles and Jordenne Ferenczi and Sarah Brooks won in the third pairings 8-2.

The only Adrian loss came in the number one singles as Simcina fell in the closest match of the day 6-3, 6-3 to Deidre Potter. Brooks was the only player to sweep her opponent 6-0, 6-0 in the fifth singles. Kruszewski, Kean and Sokolowski each won 6-0, 6-1 in the second, fourth and sixth singles respectively. Woods rounded out the Bulldogs victory with a 6-1, 6-1 win in the third singles pairing.

Adrian will open their MIAA season as they host Albion on March 26 at 1:00 pm.
