Women's Tennis Falls 8-1 at Case Western Reserve

CLEVELAND - The women's tennis team was looking for their first win of the season on Friday afternoon at Case Western Reserve. Unfortunately, all they got was one point in a 8-1 loss dropping them to 0-4 overall. The Bulldogs got that point at three doubles. Jordenne Ferenczi and Sarah Brooks won 8-5 over Bianca Patel and Evelyn Qi. CSW got a pair of 8-0 wins at one and two doubles.

Case Western won the first four singles matches in straight sets. Katelyn Simcina and Shelby Kruszewski both lost 6-1, 6-1 at one and two singles. Shannon Woods dropped a 6-2, 6-4 decision to Kara Richardson at three singles. Brooks went three sets at five singles. She lost 6-0 in the first set and came back to win the second set 6-3. Kathleen Evers pulled out the third set super tiebreak 10-6. Sarah Sokolowski also went three sets dropping the first one, 6-0, before winning 6-4 and losing the super tiebreaker 10-7.
