GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The women's tennis team fell to 0-3 this season on Friday night with a 9-0 loss at Davenport University. Sarah Kean went three sets at three singles against Stephanie Fortney winning the first set 6-4 before dropping the next two 6-1 and 10-3. Sarah Brooks also went three sets at four singles dropping the first set 6-4 before winning the second set 6-2 and falling 14-12 in the super tiebreaker third set. Jordenne Ferenczi also went three sets in her six singles matchup against Kelly Todd. She won the first set 7-5 and dropped the next two sets 6-4 and 10-8.
The closest doubles match was the second pairing between Ferenczi and Shannon Woods for Adrian and Erin Hossack and Fortney for DU. The Panthers won 8-4 in that matchup and also won 8-1 at one doubles and 8-3 in three doubles.
