BEREA, Ohio - The women's tennis team began their season on Saturday night indoors and dropped an 8-1 decision at Baldwin-Wallace (4-2). B-W swept the singles competition as all six matches ended in straight sets. Shannon Woods and Sarah Kean provided the best battles winning six games in two sets.
Shelby Kruszewski and Woods teamed together at one doubles to earn the team's point. They were an 8-5 winner over Caitlyn Pecinovsky and Rebecca Mittler of B-W. Kean and Jordenne Ferenczi also picked up three games at three doubles.
The team will next compete on March 1 at Barry College to begin their spring trip.
