HOW IT HAPPENED
The opening 20-minutes saw a shot and corner for each of the competitors, before Adrian posted its first goal in the 21st minute.
It was not far into the second half before Fleming and A. Davis penned their names on the scoresheet again, with assists on the Bulldogs' insurance tally. The goal was scored by freshman Eve Davis at 52:01, who now has a second-best seven goals on the season, trailing just Fleming.
Senior Ayverie Giller played in all 90 minutes, making four saves to secure the shutout.
Adrian led the statistical categories of shots (10-5) and saves (4-3)
Junior Angela Davis, who had a team-high three points, on the game-winning goal and an assist.
Underclassman Eve Davis who now has seven goals on the season as she added the insurance goal for the Bulldogs.
Senior Caroline Fleming extended her team-lead in points to 29 with her two assists. She also leads the squad in that category (9 a).
Classmate Ayverie Giller, who secured the team's sixth shutout of the season, compiling four saves. She is now 5-2-2 on the season.
The Bulldogs return to the road as they travel to Kalamazoo for another MIAA contest, set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
