COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Adrian College women's soccer team came up short in a battle at Capital University, who is currently-ranked seventh in the Great Lakes region.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Adrian College found itself behind early, as Capital was able to post its first goal of the contest in the 15th minute. The Crusaders would own a 1-0 lead well into the second half.
The second half saw four goals, one by the Bulldogs and three by the bad guys. Hosting Capital was able to extend its lead to 3-0 with eight minutes left on the clock, scoring two goals within three minutes of each other.
Adrian successfully denied them the shutout, as Eve Davis was able to post an unassisted goal seconds after the third goal.
Capital posted the final tally of the game in the final seconds of the contest.
Freshman Eve Davis with the Bulldogs' lone-goal to deny the Crusaders their fifth shutout of the season. Davis now has a class leading five goals.
Senior goalkeeper Ayverie Giller recorded six saves.
The Bulldogs remain on the road, traveling to Transylvania for a 3:30 p.m. contest on Saturday. Their last before conference play begins next week.
