FREELAND, Mich. – Adrian College's Caroline Fleming – of the women's soccer team – was selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 22.
Fleming posted five points for the Bulldogs in a 1-0-1 week. In Adrian's 3-3 double overtime tie with nationally-ranked Otterbein on Thursday, the Grosse Ile, Mich. native owned the game-opening goal and an assist.
In Saturday's 2-0 homecoming win over Mich.-Dearborn, Fleming again recorded the game-opening and winning goal midway through the opening half.
Fleming leads the squad with seven goals and 19 points, ranking second in the MIAA in both of the categories.
The Bulldogs return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday as they travel to take on the Crusaders of Capital University.
