ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's soccer team beat hometown-foe Siena Heights on Wednesday evening for its first-ever win over the Saints in program history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs were quick to show the visitors who is boss, scoring their first goal of the game less than six minutes in. The tally was accredited to Mya Oleksiak, as she was able to get a piece of a Caroline Fleming corner kick, redirecting into the goal with her head. Siena Heights was quick to respond with a goal of its own less than three minutes later.
The Saints goal game within the ninth minute of the contest, knotting the score at 1-1. That score would stand for the remainder of the half.
Adrian brought the same intensity to the second, recording the game-winning goal in the 50th minute. Fleming was able to record the goal as she benefitted from a chaotic net-front, off a pass in the box by Megan Louwers.
The Bulldogs were successful in warding off the Saints strong front line in the last minute of the game to secure its first win over the program.

Fellow senior Kristen Page, earning her first victory of the season in 45 minutes played. She made two saves.
The Bulldogs remain at home as they host Heidelberg for a 7 p.m. on Friday.
