ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's soccer team scored four times in the second half to defeat Kalamazoo 4-0. Tayler O'Dell put the game out of reach by scoring the final two goals of the game for the Bulldogs.

Final Score: Adrian 4, Kalamazoo 0

Location: Adrian, Michigan (Docking Stadium)

Records: Adrian (11-5-2, 8-4-2 MIAA), Kalamazoo (10-8-1, 9-5-1 MIAA)

Neither team could pull out in front in the first half as both defenses held their ground and the game remained scoreless at halftime. Adrian had two shot attempts in the first with only one shot on goal; Kalamazoo had one shot, on goal, heading into the intermission.

Caroline Fleming broke the tie in the opening five minutes of play in the second when she scored on a long ball that hooked over Hornet keeper Hannah Wolfe's (L, 7-5-1) head and into the top right of the net.

Mya Oleksiak gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 cushion in the 65th minute when she scored off a corner kick by Fleming.

O'Dell's first goal came off a headed through pass by Rachel Rodeheffer that opened up a breakaway and O'Dell buried the chance.

Rodeheffer made a clean tackle to regain possession of the ball and set O'Dell up a second time with a through pass into the box. O'Dell lobbed the ball up and over the keeper's head and into the net to score her second goal of the night and put Adrian up 4-0 with just under 10 minutes remaining in regulation.

"I couldn't be more proud of this group for what they've been able to do this season.  Our seniors had a difficult path early in their careers here, and they deserve all the credit for the culture that they've built." - Head Coach Ali Alamdari.

"Despite how young this roster is, we set a lofty goal of returning to the postseason this year and we're thrilled to have accomplished that goal with two games left to improve our seeding as much as possible before the tourney kicks off." Coach Alamdari.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 8-4-2 in conference play and sit firmly in the fourth spot in the postseason seeding with 26 points.

Adrian will host Calvin on Friday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m., ET. The Bulldogs will look to gain control of the third seed with a win over the Knights who currently hold the third spot with 27 points.
