ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's soccer team took all that Hope could give through regulation and two overtime periods and were able to hold the Flying Dutch scoreless on a very windy Saturday afternoon. Ayverie Giller (T, 8-3-2) saved all 13 shots she faced, including a penalty kick, to lead the Bulldog defense to a draw.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Giller made five stops in the first half to keep Hope off the scoreboard. The Flying Dutch held the ball in the Bulldog end of the field for much of the first half, but the Adrian defense held up to keep the game scoreless going into the intermission.
Hope had the best two chances to break the deadlock in the second half. The first came after a foul in the box by Adrian that gave the Flying Dutch's Allie Wittenbach a penalty kick attempt in the 61st minute. Giller dove to her right and made a phenomenal save and still had the presence of mind to jump on the ball as it spun across the goal-line. The second chance for Hope came late in the 88th minute when Erin Brophy headed a ball toward net off a cross. Giller was able to snatch the ball out of the sky and preserve the tie and force an overtime period.
Hope had on shot on goal in the first overtime period that was saved by Giller. made three more saves in the second overtime period to keep the game alive.

Hope outshot Adrian 22-4 in the game. The Flying Dutch held the Bulldogs to zero shots on goal while tacking on 13 shots on goal of their own. Hope also had the edge in corner kicks, 7-1.
