Fleming Earns First MIAA Player of the Week Nod of Her Career

FREELAND, Mich. - Adrian College sophomore Caroline Fleming (Grosse Ile, Mich.) was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.

The starting forward had a big week for the Bulldogs as she tied a school record for single-game assists with three against Olivet on Wednesday, September 20. Fleming tallied an assist on all three goals that were scored by Adrian in the 3-0 win. She scored a goal on Saturday versus Kalamazoo to bring her point total to five for the week.

With this week's performance, her season assist total is now tied for a team-high five and her point total is tied for the second-highest total on the team with 11.

This is the first MIAA player of the week award for Fleming in her career and the first POTW award of the season for the Adrian College women's soccer team.

The Bulldogs continue MIAA action tomorrow (Tuesday) when they travel to face Calvin at 7:00 p.m., ET.
