FREELAND, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced today that Adrian College junior Kirsten Chambers is the women's soccer offensive player of the week.
Chambers had a career week scoring her first career goal against St. Mary's on Wednesday, September 28 to help the Bulldogs seal a 2-0 win over the Belles.
She followed that performance with an even better outing on Saturday, October 1 against Albion. The midfielder scored both Adrian goals to lead the Bulldogs to a 2-1 victory in overtime. The two goal showing gave her the first two goal game of her career and the overtime goal provided her with her first game-winning goal in a Bulldog uniform.
The stats for both games vaulted her to a tie for the third-highest point total on the team with six points.
Chambers tops off her career week by adding her first career MIAA player of the week honor.
