"We started off our first full day in Barcelona with a bus tour of the city.
"Our first stop was the Sagrada Familia, where we admired the unfinished cathedral of Antoni Gaudi. As we made our way to Olympic Village, we saw more of Gaudi's architecture and observed his unique style throughout the city. When we reached the Olympic Village, we visited the stadium where the 1992 games were held - Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys. Next, we overlooked the city of Barcelona from a bird's-eye view and hiked up to the Castell de Montjuic.
"After driving by the home of FC Barcelona, the Nou Camp, and the bull fighting ring, we were set free in the gothic center of Barcelona for a few hours of sightseeing and shopping.
"Tonight, we attended our second European soccer match, between RCD Espanyol and Real Betis. Real Betis walked away with a 3-0 victory over the home team, but we enjoyed the exciting action nonetheless."
