Bulldogs Upended at Trine 2-1

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Adrian College women's soccer team ran out time in Angola, Ind., falling to Trine 2-1. Adrian's Sofia Farah scored the Bulldogs lone goal in the 87th minute off of a penalty kick, her second goal of the season.

The Thunder just edged the Bulldogs in shots 7-6 in the first half. Neither team was able to put the ball in the net during the first half making the score at halftime 0-0.

Trine was the first to get on the board when Jamie McCarrell crossed to teammate Skyler Reed who headed it into the net for the 1-0 lead in the 48th minute of the match. Trine would score their second goal in the 74th minute of the match to take a 2-0 lead. Adrian would cut the lead in half with Farah's penalty kick in the 87th minute. However, time would expire before Adrian was able to get the tying goal and force overtime.

The Bulldogs travel to South Bend, Ind., to face St. Mary's this Saturday, October 31 at noon.
