Holland, Mich. – The Adrian College women's soccer team were defeated on the road Saturday against Hope 3-0. The loss puts the Bulldogs record at 2-2-2 (0-2 MIAA).
Both teams played tight defense in the first half of the match heading into halftime 0-0. Hope would crack the scoreboard a little over 10 minutes into the second half when Sophomore Allie Wittenbach scored with a header off a corner kick.
Hope's second goal would come 22 minutes later from Senior Kristen Hazlett in the 77th minute of the match. Hope Freshman Rachel Braginton would score the game's final goal with less than seven minutes left in the match.
The Bulldogs struggled offensively totaling seven shots, three on goal, for the entire game. Hope totaled 16 shots, seven on goal, for the match.
Adrian College women's soccer will travel to Alma to take on the Scots Monday September 14. Match set to begin at 4 p.m.
