Barker Named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

ROYAL OAK, Mich.  – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Adrian College forward Sam Barker its Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer for games played through Sept. 22.

Barker, a senior from Temperance (Bedford H.S.), scored three goals and added two assists in leading the Bulldogs to a pair of MIAA victories. She scored twice and set up two other goals in a 5-1 victory over Trine, then added another goal in a 4-0 road victory over Kalamazoo. Barker currently leads the MIAA in points with 15 and assists with five, and is second in goals with five. She is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time this season and sixth time in her career.
