Pomeroy Named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week

ROYAL OAK, Mich.  – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Adrian midfielder Courtney Pomeroy and Alma defender Autumn Root its Players of the Week in women's soccer for games played through Oct. 28.

Pomeroy, a senior from St. Clair Shores (Lake Shore HS), scored in all three games as the Bulldogs kept their hopes alive for an MIAA co-championship with three consecutive victories. She scored 22 seconds into the second half to help break the game open in a 6-0 victory over Trine, scored the first goal in an 8-0 win over Albion, and added an insurance goal in a 2-0 win over Olivet. Pomeroy is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
