MIAA Women’s Soccer Preseason Poll Released

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Defending champion Adrian College has been chosen as the preseason favorite to win the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's soccer championship.

The Bulldogs, who won their first MIAA title in school history last fall with a 14-2 league record, received seven out of a possible nine first-place votes in the preseason poll of the league's coaches. Alma, which defeated Adrian in the championship game of the MIAA tournament, received one first-place vote and was chosen to finish second. Hope received the other first-place vote.

MIAA teams will begin nonconference play on Friday, Aug. 31, with conference action getting underway on Thursday, Sept. 13.
