@acwlax Quartet Earns Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Honor Roll Recognition

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Adrian College's Annie Rice, Hannah Emerson, Amanda Tuckey and Madeline Nicholas were among 630 student-athletes named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Honor Roll released on Monday, July 22.

To be awarded this accolade, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher and have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or above.

Rice, in her final season as a Bulldog, posted career-high numbers in points (79), goals (39) and assists (40) over the course of 15 games, making starts in all of them. The captain had an exceptional year, owning two Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week honors, while earning herself a second-team all-conference title. The recent graduate majored in social work.

Emerson, the starting goalie in her final season, started all 15 games in goal for the Bulldogs, making a team-high 86 saves in 721:44 minutes played.  The Commerce Township, Mich., native majored in exercise science and minored in athletic training.

Tuckey, in her third season at Adrian, collected 19 ground balls, while causing 14 turnovers in 15 games played. The defender majors in biochemistry.

Nicholas posted career-highs in goals (19), assists (3), points (13) and ground balls (23). The junior majors in English, minoring in secondary teacher education.

The foursome also all owned places on the 2019 MIAA Academic Honor Roll.
