Three Bulldog Women's Lacrosse Players Named to All-MIAA Teams
FREELAND, Mich. - Three Adrian College players were named to the 2016 All-MIAA women's lacrosse teams this evening following the two conference semi-final games as announced by the league office. Alex Branum (So. / Garden City, Mich.) was announced as part of the first team All-MIAA as a midfielder. Annika Nuler (So. / Canton, Mich.) was named to the second team All-MIAA also as a midfielder and Annie Rice (Fr. / Reisterstown, Md.) was named to the second team All-MIAA as an at-large bid.
Branum led Adrian in points for the season with 42 (35 goals, seven assists). She had 15 caused turnovers on the year, tied for the second highest total on the team, she was third in ground balls (39) and draw controls (32). This is her first time being named to an All-MIAA team.
Nuler had the second highest point total on the team with 39 (32 goals, seven assists). She leads the team in ground balls (43) and caused turnovers (21) and is second with 43 draw controls. This is her first All-MIAA selection of her career.
Rice is the third highest point scorer for the Bulldogs with 38 (23 goals, 15 assists). Her 15 assists are the highest on the team, third in the conference and highest among all MIAA rookies. She is second with 40 ground balls, tied for second with Branum with 15 caused turnovers and third with 32 draw controls.
