ALMA, Mich. – The women's lacrosse team travelled to take on Alma College Thursday evening. Alma scored the first seven goals of the game as they took control early and held Adrian off for a 20-6 victory. Adrian will see their final home game of 2015 on Saturday against Calvin College as they now stand at 0-11,0-7 on the season.
Alma tallied the first seven goals of the game to take the commanding lead with 17:17 remaining. Michelle Sandlin would get the Bulldogs on the board on a free position shot at the 14:22 mark to cut the deficit to 7-1. Alma responded with the next four goals before Annika Nuler tallied two for Adrian and the Bulldogs trailed 7-3 at the break. Alma opened up the game to start the second half as they recorded the first five goals of the second thirty minutes. Alex Branum would keep the Bulldogs in the game with three second half goals, and Alison Dungey would total 16 saves for the game, but the Bulldogs would fall short at the hands of the Scots.
