ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Bulldogs travelled to take on Mount Union Friday night in their third game of their 2015 season. The Bulldogs scored quickly, but the Raiders would respond with the final nine goals of the first half to take control of the game. Mount Union tallied eight second half goals while the Bulldogs netted three and the Raiders took down Adrian, 23-6.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 1-0 lead following a TaShina Salas goal just 55 seconds into the game. The Raiders responded with four goals before Salas score again to bring the game to a 4-2 score. Salas would go on to net five goals in the game as Adrian scored a season-high six goals.
Mount Union would score the first seven goals of the second of the second half to take a 22-3 lead. Annika Nuler then scored her first career goal at the 14:50 mark and Salas scored twice more as Adrian scored three goals for the second half. The Raiders would go on to control the lead to a 23-6 victory and drop Adrian to 0-3 on the season.
Alison Dungey made the start in goal for the Bulldogs and drew the decision by making eight saves and recording two ground balls. Nuler recorded six ground balls and two ground balls while Michelle Sandlin compiled three draw controls and caused one turnover.
