Women's Lacrosse Dominates Hope College, 23-8

HOLLAND, Mich. – The women's lacrosse team took on Hope College Wednesday night as they looked to remain perfect in the MIAA. The Bulldogs came out strong as they scored the first seven goals of the game on their way to a commanding 23-8 victory over the Flying Dutch. This win advanced the Bulldogs to 7-5 on the season and 5-0 in the MIAA.

Adrian started the game quickly as they scored seven goals before Hope could find any offense. The Bulldogs used this momentum to take a commanding 14-5 first half lead. The Bulldogs began the second half with a quick start once again as they scored the first two goals to take a 16-5 lead with 27:25 remaining. The Bulldogs would open a six-goal scoring run staring at the 11:33 mark that would solidify their victory as they left the Flying Dutch behind 23-7 with 3:41 remaining. Hope would score once more but the Bulldogs cruised to a 23-8 win.

The Bulldogs were led by Hannah Early as she scored seven goals, added two assists, compiled seven ground balls and recorded seven draw controls. TaShina Salas scored five goals, added two assists, and recorded four ground balls. Brianna Plester scored five times, added one assist, recorded eight ground balls and compiled 15 draw controls. Maddie Dugan and Christine Campbell each scored three times while adding an assist.

Jul Tehovnik (7-5) earned the victory in goal for the Bulldogs as she made nine saves and recorded two ground balls. 

The Bulldogs will see action again Tuesday, April 22 when they travel to Olivet College for a 4:30 p.m. start
