ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Adrian midfielder Brianna Plester its Offensive Player of the Week in women's lacrosse for games played through March 9.
Plester, a freshman from Orangeville, Ontario, Canada (Orangeville Secondary), scored eight goals and added an assist as the Bulldogs split two games for the week. She scored five goals, including the game-winner with four minutes remaining, to lift Adrian to a 10-9 win over Sewanee, Tenn. She also had seven draw controls and scooped up four ground balls. Plester added three goals and an assist, and had 13 draw controls in a 23-12 loss to Denison, Ohio. She is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
