Bulldogs Picked to Repeat as MIAA Champs in 2014

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Defending champion Adrian has been picked as the preseason favorite to win the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women's lacrosse championship.

The Bulldogs, who won the inaugural MIAA title last spring with a perfect 6-0 league record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament, received seven out of a possible nine first-place votes in the poll of the league's coaches. Alma, which received the other two first-place votes, is picked to finish second.

The Bulldogs will open their season Wednesday, March 5 when they travel to play Sewanee at 7 p.m. Adrian will open at home when they take on Oberlin on March 12 in Docking Stadium at 7 p.m.
