Birlson and Lambert Named IWLCA First Team All-West Region

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Two Adrian College women's lacrosse student-athletes were bestowed Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) First Team All-West Region honors this week as the Bulldogs finished 17-3 during the season and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the second straight year.

Senior midfielder Amanda Lambert (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) finished her career as a four-time First Team All-West Region selection. Lambert is the two-time reigning Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) Offensive Player of the Year. She ends her career with 337 points, ranking second all-time in school history. Lambert also ranks first at Adrian College in ground balls (204), draw controls (172), caused turnovers (76) and free-position goals (57). She finished with 228 goals and 109 assists in 70 games. Lambert had 336 shots on goal for a .884 percentage. She also had 10 game-winning goals. Lambert ranked nationally in 2012 in points (83rd), and assists (46th).

Junior attacker Stacey Birlson (Centennial, Colo.) finished this season with 28 goals and 39 assists for a total of 67 points. She ranked 22nd nationally in assists. Birlson is the school's all-time leader with 144 assists in three years. She also ranks third now in points with 251. She has played in 57 career games and has 107 goals and a .768 shot on goal percentage.
