Rabishaw Named MWLC Defensive Player of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Mount St. Joseph's Amanda Holmes and Adrian's Katrina Rabishaw were named the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) Players of the Week Monday.

Holmes, a senior midfielder from Cincinnati, Ohio and Oak Hills High School (Business major), totaled 17 goals in three games as the Lions went 2-1 last week and earned a spot in the MWLC tournament. She tallied seven goals, four ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 16-14 non-conference win over Otterbein on April 25. She then added seven goals in a 17-11 win over Concordia (Wis.) on April 28, and three goals and four ground balls in an 18-7 loss to Carthage on April 29.

Rabishaw, a senior defender from Sharon, Ontario and Sacred Heart Catholic (Political Science major), helped the Bulldogs secure the MWLC regular season title in an 18-10 win over North Central on April 28. She had a caused turnover in the game and she now ranks fourth in school history in that category. She finished the season with 15 ground balls, 11 caused turnovers and six draw controls this season.
