DULUTH, Minn. – Adrian College's Jacqueline White and Kelly O'Sullivan – of the No. 2 NCAA women's hockey team – were selected as the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Players of the Week for the week ending Nov. 17. The duo each posted a squad-best eight points over the weekend, while O'Sullivan broke several program records.
The Bulldogs went 2-0 over the weekend in NCHA play, taking Marian (Wis.) down 10-0 on Friday and 8-0 on Saturday to remain perfect on the season. The now have 18 unanswered goals heading into the weekend.
White was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week, recording her first hat trick of the season in Friday's win. She also added two assists in the contest for a team-best five points.
On Saturday, the senior pointed another team-leading point count, three, on a goal and two assists. She was extremely efficient with her shots, scoring on four of her five attempts over the course of the two contests.
Classmate and three time All-American, O'Sullivan was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week, after breaking the program's records for goals (26), assists (70) and points (96) by a defenseman.
On Friday the Inverness, Ill. native had a team-best four helpers, while also recording a goal of her own. In Saturday's victory she posted three points on three assists to ultimately break the assists and points records.
White, O'Sullivan and the Bulldogs return to action this weekend for an away-and-home series with NCHA competitor Trine, starting with a 7 p.m. faceoff on Saturday.
