Adrian Goes 3-0 Over the Weekend

ASHLAND, Wis. - Kaylyn Schroka scored two goals and made three assists to lead Adrian to a 13-1 win over Northland on Sunday afternoon. Sarah Shureb scored her first hat trick of the season.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Period: Adrian 2, Northland 0

Bailey Robertson scored off assists from Maggie Mitter and Hannah Dalrymple.

Rose Krasofsky scored the final goal of the period. She was assisted by Olivia Fox.

• The Bulldogs recorded 20 shots on goal; Northland had five.

Second Period: Adrian 9, Northland 1

Shureb scored two of her three goals to start the second period. The first goal happened just 32 seconds into the period. She was assisted on both goals by Kristin Lewicki and Kaylyn Schroka.

Sydney Smith scored to put the Bulldogs up 5-0 before Samantha Scott scored the only goal for the Lumberjills to bring the score to 5-1.

Lewicki, Schroka (PP), Kelly O'Sullivan, and Brooke Lupi (PP) each scored before the close of the second period.

• The shot totals for the second period were 21-7 in favor of Adrian.

Third Period: Adrian 13, Northland 1

Lupi scored her second goal of the game in the opening three minutes of the final period.

Schroka scored her second goal a few minutes later.

Shureb completed her hat trick at the 15:14 mark of the third period.

 Krasofsky scored the final Adrian goal of the game.

• Adrian had 70 shots on goal for the game; the Lumberjills had 20.

• The Bulldogs went 1-4 (25%) on the power play; Northland went 1-3 (33.3%).

TOP DOGS

Schroka tallied five points (2,3) to lead the Bulldogs in scoring.

Shureb finished with four points (3,1).

Smith (1,2), O'Sullivan (1,2), Lupi (2,1), and Lewicki (1,2) each scored three points.

Dalrymple (0,2), Mitter (0,2), Fox (0,2), and Krasofsky (2,0) recorded two points.

Jade Walsh saved 19 of the 20 shots she faced in the game.

THE OPPOSITION

• Scott scored the only goal of the game for Northland.

• Allyson Reilly and Ashley Hammes each recorded an assist.

• Maggie Cusey saved 32 of the 41 shots she faced; Chloe Marshall made 25 saves and faced 29 shots.

UP NEXT

• The Bulldogs return home to host Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opponent St. Norbert in a weekend series on Friday and Saturday, January 27 and 28. Friday night's game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. puck drop.
