Adrian Improves to 4-0 Following 3-0 Win Over Foresters

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Bulldogs scored once in every period to cruise to a 3-0 victory over Northern Collegiate Hockey Association foe Lake Forest on Sunday afternoon.


Final Score: Adrian 3, Lake Forest 0

Location: Adrian, Michigan (Arrington Ice Arena)

Records: Adrian (4-0, 4-0), Lake Forest (5-2, 3-1)


First Period: Adrian 1, Lake Forest 0

• Team captain, Kaylyn Schroka scored the first goal of the game off the assist from Kristin Lewicki to put the Bulldogs up 1-0.

• Adrian also won the period in shots, 19-6.

Second Period: Adrian 2, Lake Forest 0

• The Bulldogs were on the power play four times in the second period, cashing in once. Lewicki scored with a little over a minute left in the second period to double the lead, 2-0. She was assisted by Sarah Shureb and Schroka.

• Adrian had outshot Lake Forest 23-5 in the period.

Third Period: Adrian 3, Lake Forest 0

• Shureb would score off an assist from Kristi Zink in the third period, the final score of the game.

•  The Bulldogs edged the Foresters in shots in the final period, 10-6. Adrian finished the game with 52 shots while Lake Forest only registered 17.

• The Bulldogs were 1-3 on the power play, the Foresters were 0-3.


• Schroka, Lewicki, and Shureb all had a game-high two points (1,1) to lead Adrian.

Kelly O'Sullivan and Lewicki each finished the game with a plus/minus of 2.

Brooke Lupi was 6-10 in faceoffs for the game. Schroka was 14-25, Rose Krasofsky went 6-7, Kortney Diaz 4-9 and Lewicki 5-7.

Brooke Gibson (W, 4-0) tallied her first shutout of the season, fifth in her career, saving all 17 shots she faced between the pipes.


• Amanda Brunges, Kate Fanning, and Kayla Griffith each registered three shots for the game.

• Goalie Jacqueline Audet (L, 3-1) made 49 saves in the game.


• Adrian will host St. Scholastica on Friday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m.
