DULUTH, Minn.--The Bulldogs (5-2, 4-1) scored two second period goals to pull away host St. Scholastica (3-3, 2-2) to earn their second shutout of the season 3-0. Kristin Lewicki recored one goal and one assist in the win.
Kaylyn Schroka scored a power play goal 9:35 into the first period in what would be the game-winning-goal. She was assisted by Hannah Dalrymple and Lewicki. The Bulldogs would take the 1-0 lead into the first inermission.
Bailey Robertson and Kristi Zink would set up teammate Rose Krasofsky with the first goal of the second period and second of the game with a little more than three minutes left in the second period. Less than two minutes later Lewicki would add the insurance goal with 1:35 remaining in the second period putting the score at 3-0 in favor of the Bulldogs.
Brooke Gibson was in goal for Adrian for the fourth straight game. She saved all 22 shots she faced and earned her third win of the season putting her record at 3-1 on the year.
The Bulldogs outshot the Saints 42-22 for the game. Adrian went 1-for-3 on power and a perfect 5-for-5 on penalty kills.
The Bulldogs continue their road trip when they travel to face Finlandia tomorrow, November 21. Game time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
