LAKE FOREST, Ill.--Adrian College women's hockey stumbled at Lake Forest losing 6-2. The loss is the Bulldogs first NCHA loss of the season putting them at 3-1-0 in conference play. Kristin Lewicki scored both Adrian goals in the losing effort. Logan Taylor, Michelle Jones and Kaylyn Schroka all recorded an assist for the Bulldogs.
Lake Forest carried a 1-0 lead into the first intermission after Kayla Griffin scored a power play goal 12:47 into the first period.
The lead would climb to 3-0 during the second period.
Adrian wouldn't crack the scoreboard until the final period when Lewicki scored her first goal 2:35 into the period.
Both teams were even on power play opportunities with four each. Lake Forest would capitalize on two of those chances, Adrian would score on one.
Goaltender Brooke Gibson would receive her first loss of the season putting her at 2-1-0. She saved 24 of the 29 shots she faced which was good enough for a .828 save percentage.
The Bulldogs will stay on the road next weekend when they travel to St. Scholastica on Friday, November 20 with first puck drop scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
