ADRIAN, Mich. – Saturday night marked senior night for the Adrian College women's hockey team and their final regular season game against Concordia (Wis.). Senior forward Hannah McGowan reached a career milestone in the 3-1 win over the Falcons as her assist to Logan Taylor's game-winning goal in the third period notched her 100th career point.
The Falcons would take the 1-0 lead after the first period despite Adrian outshooting Concordia 13-5. The Falcons would find the back of the net at the 12:02 mark as Emily Heckendorf would score from Veronika Metanova and Alexis Machuga.
The Bulldogs would continue to outplay the Falcons as looked to tie the score with 17 more shots in the second period. Senior forward Courtney Millar tallied her second of the season from fellow senior Michelle Jones and Sarah Shureb as she cleaned up a rebound to beat Concordia goal tender Andrea Mizanskey.
Taylor recorded the game-winner in the third and Millar added her second of the game from Jones and Kaylyn Schroka with one second left in the empty net to give the Bulldogs an unbeaten 15-0-3 mark in the NCHA regular season. Jade Walsh secured her 20th win in goal for Adrian by making 19 saves while Mizanskey recorded 44 saves for the Falcons.
The Bulldogs earned their bye week and they will host the SLAATS Cup Semifinals and Finals on March 6 and 7.
