Krasofsky Sets Pace in 6-0 Win over Buffalo State

ADRIAN, Mich. – The women's hockey team took on Buffalo State College Wednesday night in a non-conference matchup with the 7-5-2 Bengals. Adrian used a three-goal first period to propel them to a commanding 6-0 win, which advancse their overall record to 13-0-3.

The Bulldogs out-shot the Bengals 16-3 in the first period as they took control of the game early. Rose Krasofsky started the scoring for Adrian at the 4:38 mark when she gathered the rebound from a Kelsey Kusch shot to put Adrian up 1-0. Logan Taylor then scored from Kristin Lewicki and Bailey Robertson before Krasofsky caused a turnover in front of the net to leave the score at 3-0 after one period.

Adrian used this momentum to cruise to a 6-0 victory over the Bengals with goals from Kaylyn Schroka and Michelle Jones in the second period and an empty netter by Jones with eight seconds left in the game.

The Bulldogs jumped out on the Bengals by with 28 shots over the first two periods compared to just 12 from Buffalo State. Jade Walsh (13-0-3) earned the shutout victory in goal for the Bulldogs by making 22 saves, including 10 in the third period.
