Two-Goal First Period Sends Bulldogs Past Concordia (Wis.)

MEQUON, Wis. – The Bulldogs finished their weekend with Concordia (Wis.) Saturday afternoon with a 2-1 victory over the Falcons. Adrian bounced back from their 4-4 tie with the Falcons with a victory that advanced their overall record to 12-0-3 and their NCHA record to 8-0-2.

The Bulldogs found their offensive stride early as they tallied both of their goals in the first period. Rose Krasofsky notched the first goal for Adrian at the 12:32 mark on assists from Sarah Shureb and Logan Taylor. Taylor then advanced the Bulldog lead to 2-0 at the 16:42 mark on a power play goal from Kelsey Kusch and Kristin Lewicki.

Adrian controlled play throughout the game as they would out-shoot the Falcons 39-22 for the game including 26-11 over the first two periods. Jade Walsh regained her presence in the net by stopping 21 shots to earn her 12th victory of the season.

The Falcons would find the back of the net at the 2:50 mark of the third period, but the Bulldogs secured their win, 2-1.

Adrian will see action again on January 21 when they host Buffalo State to Arrington Ice Arena at 7 p.m.
