MEQUON, Wis. – The Bulldogs took on Concordia (Wis.) Friday night in an NCHA matchup. Adrian overcame a 3-1 deficit in the second period to tie the score, 4-4, headed into the final period. The Bulldogs could not break the stalemate as they tied the Falcons in overtime to leave their overall record at 11-0-3 with a 7-0-2 mark in the NCHA.
Adrian came out firing against the Falcons as they would outshoot Concordia (Wis.) 44-21 for the game. The Falcons scored four goals on their first 10 shots to put pressure on the Bulldogs. Adrian used the power play to fuel their offense as they would score all four off their goals with an extra skater.
Logan Taylor began the scoring for Adrian by evening the score, 1-1, on assists from Kelsey Kusch and Kristin Lewicki in the first period. The Bulldogs then found themselves down 3-1 with 14:18 left in the second period before Lewicki and Kusch each tallied a goal to even the score, 3-3. The Falcons put the Bulldogs behind again, but a goal by Kusch 37 seconds left in the second tied the score again.
The third period and overtime saw the Bulldogs fire 16 shots on goal while the Falcons compiled 11, but the teams remained scoreless as they played to a draw.
Jade Walsh (11-0-3) earned the decision in goal for the Bulldogs by making 17 saves.
