Fitzhenry Sparks Third Period Surge Past Ephs

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Bulldogs took on the Williams College Ephs Friday night. Adrian found themselves behind after two periods before an offensive surge that resulted in three goals and a Bulldog victory. Adrian took down Williams 3-1 to advance to 8-0-2 in 2014-15.

The Ephs struck first at the 12:41 mark of the first after a rush led to an opportunistic rebound that found the back of the net. This would be the final tally of the night for Williams as Jade Walsh would hold strong in net for the remainder of the game as she totaled 26 saves to record the win.

The Bulldogs tied the game early in the third when Devyn Fitzhenry forced a turnover behind the Williams net and scored unassisted at the 1:59 mark. This sparked the Bulldogs as they would take the lead at with 11:17 left on the clock when Fitzhenry scored the game-winning goal on an assist from Logan Taylor. The Bulldogs would then secure their lead with 9:47 left when Sarah Shureb deflected in a shot from Courtney Millar following a clean win by Michelle Jones on the draw to advance the score to 3-1.

Adrian will see action again tomorrow (1/3) when they host Connceticut College at 4 p.m.
