OLIVET, Mich.--Adrian College senior co-captain Amber McCullough poured in a career-high 25 points in 25 minutes off the bench to top all scorers, but that wasn't enough as host Olivet College secured the last playoff spot in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournament with an 80-68 victory on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= Olivet made three more free throws (23-of-32) than Adrian attempted (20) to shoot 71.9 percent from the stripe.
= The host Comets led wire-to-wire, including their largest lead of 15 points late in the first half.
= Adrian trailed 21-10 at the end of the first quarter, 32-29 at the half and 52-41 at the end of three.
= The Bulldogs twice got the deficit down to seven points in the final stanza, but couldn't close the gap further.
= Adrian sophomore Mariah Jackson joined McCullough in double-digits with 14 points off the bench on 5-for-7 field goal shooting, including two treys.
= Olivet outrebounded Adrian 43 to 38.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Jackson eclipses her previous career-high of 13 points on Nov. 21 vs Hanover earlier this season.
= Junior college transfer Kennedy Kunce came off the bench to lead the Bulldogs with 10 rebounds, which is the second time this season she has reached double figures.
= Shauni Hankins stuffed the stats sheet with a team-high 18 points, game-best five assists and she had five rebounds.
= Dallas Austin posted a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds, plus two blocked shots.
