ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The women's basketball team was picked fourth in the 2012-13 MIAA preseason coaches poll as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
According to women's head basketball coach Kathy Morris, the big question surrounding this upcoming season is who will be the team's most consistent scorer?
"Defensively, we're solid with a crew of returnees and freshmen," added Morris.
The Bulldogs will look to improve upon last season's 11-13 overall record, and 6-10 conference record. The team hopes to continue the momentum it had at the end of last season when they won five of their last seven games.
In the women's poll, defending MIAA co-champion Calvin received eight of the nine first-place votes, while fellow defending co-champion Hope received the other. The Flying Dutch are picked to finish second in the poll, with Albion third followed by the Bulldogs.
