ADRIAN, Mich. - The women's basketball team had a chance to get their second straight MIAA win on Wednesday night (Dec. 14) as they hosted Albion College. The Bulldogs and Britons were tied at 32-32 with 7:57 left in the game, but the Albion defense turned up the pressure and allowed Adrian to score just five points for the remainder of the game in a 47-37 road win. Albion went on a 9-0 run and held the Bulldogs without a point for a stretch of 6:54 until a basket with 1:03 left in the game.
Senior guard Katie Ross nearly single-handedly kept her team in the game with a season-high 18 points in 39 minutes. Ross was four points shy of her career-high and tied her career-high with five three-pointers. She also set a new career-high with 12 three-point attempts. Ross finished 5-of-14 from the floor and 3-of-4 at the free throw line. She also had four rebounds and two assists in the contest.
Sophomore forward Senneca Scott was the complimentary scorer to Ross with 10 points and shot 5-of-10 from the floor. Scott pulled down a career-high nine rebounds and also had a pair of assists in 36 minutes.
