CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) announced its All-Conference teams for the 2019 season on Saturday, April 13 and Adrian College junior Noah Marcinkowski was named Second Team All-MCVL. This is Marcinkowski's second year in a row being named All-MCVL as he was on the second team as well last year. He is the only player in the program's history to garner All-Conference honors.
Marcinkowski has led Adrian's offense the past two years, surpassing his own record for kills in a season from last year with 382 kills this year, over 100 more than his total from a year ago. He currently sits at 896 kills, setting him up to be the first player in program history to hit the 1,000 kills mark. Not only did he lead the Bulldogs in kills, he also led the entire conference in them, and finished third in kills per set, averaging 3.41 kills in each set. Marcinkowski's match-high this year was 22, putting him two shy of the program record he set his freshman year.
He also a new record for service aces in a season this year, finishing with 33, eight more than his previous record from last year. Twice he tied the program record for aces in a match, putting four on the board this year against Maranatha Baptist and Greenville. Marcinkowski sits at 78 service aces in his career, putting him 22 away from reaching the 100 service aces mark, once again making him potentially the first player in program history to reach the milestone.
It was a historical season in many ways for men's volleyball at Adrian, with the team setting almost every single-season record, including the most wins and conference wins in a season, going 4-5 in the MCVL and 16-14 overall. The Bulldogs finished over .500 for the first time in program history this year and had a six-match winnings streak that included beating crosstown rival Siena Heights for the first time in program history on Feb. 19.
