Adrian Dominates at Kiwanis Classic to Remain Unbeaten on the Season

WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The Adrian College men's soccer team remains perfect on the season after downing Wabash at the Kiwanis Classic, hosted by Wilmington (Ohio) on Saturday afternoon.

 

THE BASICS

Final Score: Adrian 3, Wabash 0

Location: Wilmington, Ohio (Williams Stadium)

Records: Adrian 3-0, Kenyon 2-2

 

HOW IT HAPPENED

After a scoreless first half, the Bulldogs put on an offensive clinic, kicked off by senior Zach Combs. Combs began the scoring for Adrian in the 61st minute with his shot from inside the box. His game-winning goal was assisted by Robbie Precious.

Following in his classmate's footsteps was Garrett Miller with his second goal of the weekend. Miller's goal came at 75:26 and was the result of a penalty shot.

Sealing the deal for Adrian was Grant Perrine in the 85th minute. Perrine's goal was on a shot from inside the box, unassisted.

Playing in all 90 minutes, Spencer Brown made two saves.

  • Senior Zach Combs, scored the game-winning goal.

  • Senior Garrett Miller, scored his second goal of the weekend, to ensure the win. 

  • Sophomore Grant Perrine, last week's MIAA Offensive Player of the Week, owned Adrian's final goal of the game.
