= Location: Arrington Ice Arena; Adrian, Mich.

National Rankings: Adrian--#2 United States College Hockey Online (USCHO.com) (281 points, 4 first-place votes) and #2 D3hockey (277, 2) polls; Marian--"receiving votes" category in both polls

= Senior Bryan Yim continued his hot weekend by recording Adrian's lone goal in the second period.

= Freshman Michael Montambault helped lead Adrian in the face-off dot--as the Bulldogs won 46 of 68 draws--by winning nine of 13.

= Also representing the Bulldogs well on face-offs were freshman Trevor Coykendall (6-for-8), junior Dino Balsamo (11-for-16), senior Connor Armour (10-for-16) and Yim (9-for-14).

= Armour had a game-high seven shots on goal.

= Cross tied for the team lead with three shots, including an empty-net goal late in the game.

= Nick Monfils had a goal and an assist, plus two shots.

= The game was much closer than the final score appeared as Adrian peppered Marian in shots on goal, 47 to 19, and the Sabres added two power-play, empty-net goals in the final 50 seconds.

= After a scoreless first period, Anthony Orubor put Marian up 1-0 early in the second period when his snap shot found the inside of the left post. Monfils and Shawn Brennan assisted on the play.

= Then 3 minutes later, Cross stretched the Sabres' lead to 2-0 unassisted. He collected a loose puck on the right side boards at his blue line and skated past Adrian defenders for a breakaway.

= Adrian cut the deficit in half at 8:01 of the second period as Yim pounced on a rebound after Coykendall's shot from the left point.

= Adrian pulled the goalie for much of the final 1 minute and 30 seconds trying to force overtime with an equalizing goal, but got one shot off. Marian iced the win with two empty-net tallies while on the power play.

= Yim scored four goals during the weekend to pace the Bulldogs.

= Despite the loss, Adrian holds a commanding lead in the all-time series over Marian at 25-3-2. Adrian is 15-2 lifetime at home against the Sabres, who snapped a 15-game winless streak overall (0-13-2) with their first win versus Adrian since Nov. 6, 2010 (5-4 in Adrian).
