ADRIAN, Mich.--The nationally-ranked Adrian College men's hockey team got strong offensive production from its defensive corps, and junior goalie Kevin Entmaa made 25, to power the Bulldogs to a 5-2 victory over visiting Lake Forest in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association South Division action on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= Adrian built a 3-0 lead after the first period and never looked back. Dunn got the scoring going 6 minutes and 27 seconds in after ripping a shot from the right point on a cross-ice feed from Hellems. Adrian went up 2-0 with 4:59 left when Dunn was the recipient of good luck after a pass by a LFC player went off the skate off a teammate standing in the goal crease and into the net, with Dunn getting credit for the goal because he was the last Bulldog to touch the puck. Junior Bryan Yim made it 3-0 with a shot from the slot on a feed from Thompson with 28 seconds remaining.
= Sardina cut the deficit to 3-1 at the 8:31 mark of the second period, with Drew Cleereman and George Gerasimou assisting on the play.
= Sophomore Dino Balsamo restored the three-goal advantage, 4-1, at 15:10 when he followed up on a shot by Boyd.
= The third period featured special teams goals by both squads. Senior assistant captain Taylor McCloy gave Adrian a 5-1 cushion with a shorthanded tally at 6:48, racing past a LFC defender at the blueline and wristing a shot over the goalie's shoulder from in-close. Lake Forest scored on the power play at 17:25 on a goal by Connor Duncan from the right point and assists by Cody Guidorzi and Ryan Kruss.
= For the game, Adrian outshot LFC 44 to 27, including 18-7 in the third period.

= Adrian has never lost to the Foresters in 25 meetings, going 24-0-1 since the series began on Nov. 20-21, 2009. Adrian is 12-0-1 at home lifetime against LFC.
