BLOOMINGTON, Minn.--For the second time in a row, an Adrian College defenseman has been selected to the D3hockey.com Men's Team of the Week, announced Tuesday by the website. And for the fourth time this season, senior alternate captain Chris Leone (Dearborn Heights, Mich./Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, NAHL) has been the recipient of the national award.

Leone also was recognized by the organization in back-to-back weeks on Nov. 10 and 17, and most recently, on Dec. 8.

Leone scored the game-winning goal with 2:16 left in the game off an offensive zone draw as Adrian earned a 5-4 victory at then-top-ranked St. Norbert, snapping the nation's second-longest win streak of 12 games at the time.

Leone has established a personal-record with seven goals on the season and he is three assists shy of recording another career-best. He leads Northern Collegiate Hockey Association defensemen with scoring totals of 7+10=17, which ranks third in NCAA Division III.

Freshman blueliner Cory Dunn (Trenton, Mich./Austin Bruins, NAHL) was cited last week by D3hockey.

The top-ranked Bulldogs are back in action for Adrian hockey alumni weekend on Friday (7:05 p.m.) and Saturday (3:05 p.m.) against NCHA opponent Lawrence University at Arrington Ice Arena.
