GRANVILLE, Ohio--The Adrian College men's golf team concluded the 2018-19 season in fourth place at the five-school Ted Barclay Invitational here at the Denison Golf Club on Sunday. The Bulldogs improved 14 shots from Saturday's opening round to wind up with a 324+310=634 score collectively.
Senior Andrew Skibski made his final appearance for the Bulldogs with another top-10 finish as he was tied for eighth overall out of 33 individuals, improving four places from Saturday. He carded a 78+75 for a 153. Rounding out the Adrian lineup: sophomores Brett McGugan (78+79=157, T-14th), Noah Kosal (87+75=162, 24th), Hayden Winch (84+81=165, T-27th) and freshman AJ Clark (84+81=165, T-27th). Clark shaved 12 strokes off his final 18 holes from the first 18, marking the biggest improvement of any competitor in the Invitational.
NAIA-scholarship Rio Grande followed the Bulldogs.
Host Denison University won the team title over DePauw University by eight strokes with a 293+303=596. The Big Red also occupied the top two spots on the individual leaderboard as Christian Early (72+72=144) edged teammate Marc Mitchell (73+72=145) by a single shot.
